Stephen Williams

Stephen WilliamsStephen Williams currently serves as the Program Manager for the Appalachian Leadership Honors Program (ALHP). Prior to joining the ALHP, Stephen spent seven years as a Research Analyst at the Stennis Institute of Government at Mississippi State University. The primary focus of his work at the Stennis Institute was civic education.

Within the field of civic education, Stephen researched the history and workings of Congress, public policy, civil rights in the United States, and the United States relationships with the Middle East. In addition to his interest in history and politics, Stephen also has an interest in art, economics, and the study of leadership.

Stephen is a source of encouragement for everyone. He seeks to enable others to live their dreams and help others understand that seeing both sides of an issue is not a compromise to principle. Stephen sees his involvement with the Appalachian Leadership Honors Program as an opportunity to work in several areas of interest and help insure he leaves the legacy he desires.
