Dr. Charlotte B. Tabereaux
Dr. Charlotte B. Tabereaux is the Education Director of the MSU Riley Center for Education and Performing Arts in Meridian, MS. Prior to joining the center, Dr. Tabereaux served as Executive Director for the Mississippi Arts and Entertainment Center. In five different states (Alabama, Louisiana, Colorado, Kentucky, and Mississippi), she taught English, drama and speech for twenty years; for ten years she served as an administrator, in positions including principal, state department senior education specialist, director of curriculum, director of federal programs and arts supervisor. She received a Ph.D. in Educational Administration from MSU in 2002.
Dr. Tabereaux is a passionate advocate for the arts as a tool for lifelong learning. She is presently serving as President of the Mississippi Alliance for Arts Education and is serving a three-year term on the Kennedy Center Alliance for Arts Education Network’s Leadership Committee in Washington, DC.
