Dr. Bob Fuller

Dr. Bob FullerBob has served as principal at Armstrong Middle School (AMS) since 1994. He is an active member of the Mississippi Association for Middle Level Education (Member since 1996, President 1998 - 2002), as well as Phi Delta Kappa, MSU (Member since 1987).

A highly principled, visionary leader, Bob is passionate about teaching and learning. Very supportive of his faculty, he embraces collaborative leadership by cultivating servant-leaders among the AMS staff. Under his guidance, AMS emerged as a national leader in teacher-led middle level school reform. He and the AMS teachers have made numerous presentations on various aspects of middle level education at state and national conferences, and have led professional development activities for schools both locally and in other states.

Middle school educators from districts in Mississippi, Louisiana, Arkansas, and Michigan frequently visit AMS as a model for developing their own school reform programs. University classes from MSU regularly tour Armstrong to see middle school philosophy in action.

Dr. Fuller was honored as the Mississippi Middle School Administrator of the Year (2002/2003) and continues to lead our local district in many capacities.
